Situated in the south of England the South Downs Bloodhounds hunt over a varied country. Our aim is to provide interesting hunting as well as enjoyable riding. Some days will involve pleanty of jumping, others will not. We want to provide days for all standards of riders, including children.

We have a good number of landowners and farmers who make us welcome on their land, and we are deeply indebted to them. We expect all those who hunt with us to remember that without the goodwill from landowners, farmers and shoots, our sport would be impossible.

Whilst we hunt mainly in the area shown on the map below, we also enjoy having away days further afield when landowners are kind enough to invite us for a visit. We have enjoyed days at Breamore, near the New Forest, and even been up to Scotland for a few days. We operate similarly to the old gunslinger's motto, "have hounds, will travel!"
